Our buildings, inspired by architecture in Normandy, France, were formed by a vision of Martha Berry, founder of Berry College. Since the 1930's, these buildings housed a large dairy on the Berry College Mountain campus, where students lived, learned and worked with their heart, hands and mind. The buildings themselves were built by students, learning the craft of bricklaying and roofing. After the demise of the dairy program in 2001, the Cathy family, founders of Chick-fil-A, assumed responsibility for the care of these beautiful grounds by transforming the buildings into a picturesque retreat center. During the summer months, we host a Christian-based girl's camp called WinShape Camps. During the rest of the year we host numerous groups and individuals whereby we seek to glorify God by providing a safe, caring place for growth and transformation. We are WinShape Retreat.
